The UK Government have just announced the successful applicants for the G-Cloud 12 digital marketplace and OurPeople are proud to have been accepted.
The G-Cloud digital marketplace was created to allow all public sector organisations and agencies to find cloud technology and specialist services for digital projects with ease. This involves framework agreements with various suppliers being pre-agreed as a result pre-existing services can be purchased without the need to run complex tenders and procurement processes each time.
The requirements for G-Cloud this year were more focused on security and required suppliers to meet stringent standards for protection against cyber-attacks and viruses. This includes the adoption of the most up-to-date security technology and software rather than merely an ‘all-reasonable-endeavours’ approach. The G-Cloud standards also ensure suppliers maintain higher standards of Corporate Social Responsibility and equality in the workplace.
